Find home

in my northwest

Do you dream of a life in the Skåne countryside? Do you have a house you can no longer take care of? Or are you simply curious about old houses and the stories they carry? Regardless of who you are or why you have found your way here – a warm welcome!

From empty houses to vibrant homes

So what is the question?

Find home in My Northwest is a project that aims to breathe life into something that already exists – our empty houses. In a time where sustainability and community are becoming increasingly important, we see the uninhabited houses in our Leader area as an obvious resource to utilize. Here lies potential for both people and places to flourish.

The purpose is to create a movement – from municipal houses to village associations – where abandoned houses are not seen as a problem, but as an opportunity. By mapping where the empty houses are and supporting the owners who are willing to move forward, we want to help find new ways home. The goal is to match the right house with the right house dreamer – thereby contributing to vibrant villages, new meetings, and sustainable housing supply.

But we won't stop there. Through lectures and workshops, we want to inspire and guide you who carry a house dream. How does the purchase of an older house work? What does the law say? How do you improve energy efficiency without destroying the soul of the house? And how can you make your garden a sanctuary for biodiversity? All this and more we want to explore together – from dream to reality.

Welcome to be a part of the movement. Together we find home.

Vibrant homes create vibrant villages

Do you want to breathe life into the abandoned houses in your village?

When houses stand empty and decay, it affects not only the house itself, but the entire village. Houses thrive when someone lives in them, and so do villages.

The empty houses can become homes for new friends, a venue for a small business, or why not a new meeting place in the village. Much is possible, but not without you who live and work there.

Do you live in a village or area where there are empty houses? Do you want to do something about it, but don't quite know how to start? Contact me!

I would be happy to come to your village to talk about how we can work on the issue with you.
You can find my contact details at the bottom of the page.
