Why MittSkåne?

”From a landscape perspective, MittSkåne possesses many ”Skåne-typical” strengths such as good arable land and a favorable growing climate. This provides conditions for a strong food culture, as well as the production of meat and grain. At the same time, the northern and eastern parts of MittSkåne are also a fragmented cultural landscape with unique, species-rich pastures and extensive areas of contiguous broadleaf forest. Ringsjön is the connecting hub for MittSkåne's three municipalities, and around this there are opportunities for accommodation and culinary experiences.”

Excerpt from the strategy 2014-2020

Why Leader northwest Skåne with Öresund?

”The area is located in the northwestern part of Skåne and includes urban-adjacent countryside as well as sparsely populated areas (Hven). The significant differences between larger urban areas and the areas in their immediate vicinity around the coast contrast greatly with the more sparsely populated areas in the inland municipalities. The area follows the municipal borders. A quarter of Skåne's population lives in the area with a clear majority towards the coastal municipalities. The area is a border area to the continent with proximity and connection to the European continent to the south through bridges and ferry connections.”
