Showcase your project during Rural Week 2027
Do you have a Leader project with us? Then Rural Week 2027 is a perfect opportunity to showcase your ideas, results, and experiences to others!
Rural Week takes place where you are. You arrange the activity yourself in your locality, in your region, or digitally, and become part of the national program together with hundreds of other activities across the country.
From May 10-16, 2027, Rural Week will be held, a national week where people, associations, businesses, authorities, and development actors together highlight the opportunities, innovations, and future issues of rural areas.
For you, it is a fantastic opportunity to share the work you have done, inspire others, and show what a difference local engagement can make.
It doesn't have to be big
Many believe that a large arrangement is required to participate. That is not the case.
Your contribution can be, for example:
- a study visit in the project
- an open house
- a guided tour or hike
- a conversation or seminar
- a workshop
- a digital webinar
- a local meeting where you share your experiences and results
The most important thing is not the size of the activity but that you share what you have learned and accomplished.
Why should you participate?
By organizing an activity during Rural Week, you get the opportunity to:
- make your project and its results visible
- inspire other people, associations, and organizations
- create new contacts and collaborations
- contribute to showcasing the power of local development
The program for Rural Week is built collectively by all organizers across the country, which gives your project the opportunity to become part of a larger national context.
Here's how to register
It is free to participate as an organizer.
Registration opens on November 2, 2026, via the Rural Week website. You are responsible for carrying out your activity, but you will receive support and guidance along the way.

A encouragement from us!
Every day, Leader projects create new solutions, strengthened collaboration, and local development in our regions. Rural Week is an excellent opportunity to showcase that work to more people.
Please start thinking now about whether your project could invite to a study visit, an open house, or a digital meeting during the week. It doesn't have to be big to make an impact. Often, it is the concrete experiences and personal stories that inspire the most!
