Rydebäck's community center
”We want to create a place where different generations and interests meet, where children and youth from the scout troop can interact with older residents, and where culture and history can take place.”
About the project
A new meeting place for Rydebäck
Rydebäck's Scout Corps plans to build a new gathering place on the property Badholmen 1 in Rydebäck, with planned completion in December 2026. The goal is to create a vibrant meeting place for the scout corps, community life, and residents in the area.
Today, there is a lack of a common gathering place in Rydebäck that is accessible to several associations and individuals.
Through the project, we want to create an inclusive place where people of different ages and with different interests can meet. Here, culture, history, learning, and community will have space, while meetings between generations contribute to increased understanding, safety, and quality of life.
The initiative also gives the scout corps better opportunities to develop the activities, welcome more members, and offer more activities, courses, and overnight stays for children and youth.
The project includes both the construction of the gathering place according to the granted building permit and the development of an attractive outdoor environment.
Together with members and partners, the area will be designed with, among other things, walkways, plantings, lighting, and furnishings to create a functional and welcoming meeting place that will benefit all of Rydebäck.
The purpose of the project is to create an inclusive place that promotes collaboration, culture, learning, and community where meetings between different generations and associations can contribute to increased understanding, safety, and quality of life in the area.
The goal of the project is:
The goal of the project is to build a storage room, complete the roof and windows of a gathering place, as well as furnish the space and install a kitchen.
”We are not just building a gathering place – we are creating a meeting place where young people from the age of 10 can be involved in shaping the future for the entire village.”
