Live music for a vibrant countryside

The project Live music for a vibrant countryside aims to strengthen cultural organizers in the countryside of Skåne and provide them with better conditions to create sustainable, vibrant, and inclusive cultural environments. Live music and culture play an important role as meeting places where people can gather, exchange experiences, and build community. At the same time, many organizers face challenges related to funding, volunteer recruitment, organization, and long-term development. Through the project, we want to strengthen their capacity, knowledge, and collaboration to ensure that quality culture continues to be available outside the larger cities.

Through Skånsk Live's established network, opportunities for experience exchange, skills development, and new collaborations are created. The focus is on areas such as funding, law, tourism, sustainable meeting places, and strategies for long-term business development. When organizers receive better tools and stronger networks, they can also contribute to developing the local cultural infrastructure and making the countryside more attractive for both residents and visitors.

The project also takes advantage of Skåne's unique geographical location and the opportunities that arise from increased accessibility to Denmark and northern Europe. By strengthening the organizer-led approach and developing cross-border collaborations, the project can contribute to a richer cultural life, increased attractiveness for the region, and positive effects for the local tourism industry. The goal is to create stronger conditions for culture, community, and development in the Skåne countryside – both today and in the future.
