Lerbergets hamn is being prepared for the future and coming generations
Lerbergets hamn has been a natural gathering place for fishing, boating, and community for several hundred years. Now, parts of the port's quays need to be renovated and secured to preserve the port's function, enhance safety, and create conditions for continued sailing activities, tourism, and social activities in one of Kullabygden's most appreciated coastal environments.
The project will renovate and secure parts of Lerbergets hamn to prevent future damage and create a safe and sustainable port environment. The investment strengthens the port's function for sailing school, boating, fishing, outdoor activities, and local events while preserving a valuable cultural heritage. Through improved infrastructure and increased accessibility, it is ensured that the port can continue to be a vibrant meeting place for residents and visitors year-round.
The purpose of the project is to secure Lerbergets hamn as a vibrant and accessible meeting place by renovating and reinforcing quay structures that are at risk of damage or collapse. The project will simultaneously preserve the port's cultural-historical values and strengthen its significance for boating, fishing, recreation, tourism, and community life.
The goals are to
- renovate and secure the port's quays and infrastructure
- increase safety for visitors, boat places, and activities
- strengthen the conditions for the sailing school and its children's and youth activities
- ensure that the port can continue to function as a meeting place for local events and activities
- preserve the port's role as a destination along Kullaleden and Kattegattleden,
- strengthen the conditions for small-scale fishing and local preparedness,
- preserve an important cultural-historical heritage for future generations
